Who we are

The PARC Foundation of Thurston County is the driving force behind a vibrant, inclusive community where parks, arts, recreation, and culture thrive. Dedicated to preserving and enhancing the quality of life in Thurston County, PARC partners with non-profits, local governments, Tribes, civic organizations, businesses, and educators to bring transformative programs to life.

Since 1998, the Foundation has served as a vital fiscal and administrative agent, securing over $1.1 million in funding to support health, wellness, education, and leisure activities for residents across the county. In 2024 alone, PARC granted over $100,000 to community organizations through its first open application process, illustrating its commitment to addressing the evolving needs of the region.

PARC’s mission goes beyond funding. It prioritizes equity and access, offering scholarships to youth, foster families, and individuals with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate in parks, arts, and recreation programs. From revitalizing public spaces to supporting grassroots initiatives, the PARC Foundation empowers residents to build stronger, healthier, and more connected communities.

At its core, PARC believes in creating a legacy of joy, creativity, and well-being for generations to come—making Thurston County a place we’re all proud to call home.
